Bikini Bottom Express runs this website. This page explains what we collect when you use it, why we collect it, and how to get it removed.
Who we are
Bikini Bottom Express, a restaurant group with locations in Da Nang and Hoi An, Vietnam. For anything on this page you can reach us at hello@bikinibottomexpress.com.
What we collect
What you send us. If you use the contact form we store the name, email address, telephone number (optional), the location you picked and the message you wrote. We use it to reply to you and for nothing else. We do not sell it and we do not use it for advertising.
Aggregate usage. We measure how the site is used in aggregate — pages viewed, referring sites and general region — so we know which parts of the site are worth keeping. This is not used to build a profile of you and we do not run advertising pixels.
Server logs. Our web server records standard request logs for security and troubleshooting.
The Instagram feed
Our home page shows recent posts from our own Instagram account. The feed is fetched by our server using an access token that Meta issues to our app after a member of our staff authorises it. That token is stored encrypted and is never sent to your browser.
You do not need an Instagram account to use this site, and we do not collect anything about your Instagram account. We never ask visitors to log in with Instagram or Facebook.
Cookies
The public pages of this site do not need cookies to work. If our analytics provider sets one, it is used only to count visits and does not identify you by name.
Our own sign-in cookie is for staff only. It is set when an editor signs in to the content dashboard and is removed when they sign out. It is never set for ordinary visitors.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent personal information. We use a small number of service providers to run the site:
- Meta Platforms — hosts the Instagram and Facebook services we link to and display.
- Our analytics provider — receives the aggregate usage data described above.
- Our hosting provider — stores the site and its database on our behalf.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Contact form submissions are kept until your question has been dealt with and then for as long as we reasonably need for our records. Ask us and we will delete them.
Your choices
Write to hello@bikinibottomexpress.com to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. We will answer within a reasonable time.
Children
This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If we change how we handle personal information we will update this page and the date at the top of it.
